To our Cape Cod Sea Camps Community:
It is with a heavy heart that we write to you today with unfortunate news: After nearly a century of Best Summers Ever, Cape Cod Sea Camps has made the difficult decision to permanently close.
As you know, the unprecedented impact of the COVID-19 pandemic forced us to cancel this year’s summer activities. Since this crisis began in March, our ownership group and Board of Directors have spent countless hours studying our financial situation and searching for a sustainable path through these uncertain times. Unfortunately, it has become painfully clear that closing our storied Camp is the only responsible course of action.
While our entire Cape Cod Sea Camps family is heartbroken to deliver this news, we are truly proud of what we’ve been able to build together over the last 99 years.
Under the committed leadership of Nancy Garran, and the generations of leaders that have come before, Cape Cod Sea Camps has made remarkable, life-enduring differences in the lives of tens of thousands of campers, counselors and staff members who have elected to spend their summers with us. We are profoundly and forever grateful to our loyal camp families and alumni for giving us the opportunity to serve you.
Deposits and Tuition Reimbursement:
We have begun the process of winding down our business operations, and we will not reopen in 2021.
We understand that many camper families have already made deposits and tuition payments toward summer activities originally planned for 2020 and in some cases, 2021. Please know that any and all registration deposits and tuition payments will be refunded in full. Our team will contact you directly in the coming weeks to execute that process.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@CapeCodSeaCamps.com.
Our Grounds and Facilities:
For nearly a century, our 60 acres of pristine beachfront property on the shores of Cape Cod Bay have provided campers from all over the world with unique, unforgettable summers. This special place has served as the birthplace of shared experiences and lifelong friendships. It’s difficult to express the level of pride we take in having a hand in the creation of these memories.
While we explore options for the future of the property, we will continue to employ a small staff to maintain the beautiful grounds and facilities.
We truly can’t thank you enough for spending your summers with us. Your support has made Cape Cod Sea Camps one of the world’s most beloved camping experience.
We wish we had better news. But please know that the community you have helped create has made a difference.
From the bottom of our hearts, and from our family to yours, thank you.
The Delahanty Family and the Cape Cod Sea Camps Board of Directors
