Resident Camp Director
Nancy Garran and David Peterson met as counselors at camp and began their careers as camping professionals in 1978 soon after their marriage at the Camp Monomoy Chapel. They are the parents of two sons, Garran and Chris, who both attended CCSC as campers and are now senior staff members themselves. Both Nancy and Dave are committed to the philosophy that “camping can make a difference in a child’s life.” Nancy, who has a B.S. in nursing from Skidmore College, oversees the management of the overnight and day camp programs as the Executive Director of the Cape Cod Sea Camps. David, having graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a B.S. in science education and physical education, works closely with Christie Peterson and the Assistant Directors in leading the overnight residential programs. Both Nancy and David are involved in the American Camp Association at the regional and national levels in addition to being active in their local community. Camping is a full time career for Nancy & Dave along with being parents and grandparents.
Overnight Camp Director
Associate Director, Sail Master, Camp Rentals
Christie has worked at CCSC in a number of positions, including cabin counselor, head counselor, swim head and, most recently, assistant director. She is a former elementary school teacher on Cape Cod and received her Bachelor’s degree from Springfield College. As a full time camping professional, the management and direction of Cape Cod Sea Camps is her sole career. Christie is an active participant in the American Camp Association where she volunteers as a Standards Visitor. Christie is also a Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor Trainer for the Cape Cod Chapter of the American Red Cross. She will join two other directors in overseeing CCSC’s overnight camp.
Garran was born and raised on Cape Cod and is our Associate Director of Camp Rentals at CCSC. As a fourth generation member of the Delahanty family, Garran works both in the seasonal camp rental business, directs our large waterfront and sailing programs and serves as an evening director during the camp season. Garran began working at CCSC full time in 2004 as our Group Manager after graduating from Bridgewater State College with a BS in Psychology. In 2008 he accepted the position of Associate Director and began managing the day-to-day activities, financial reporting, sales and marketing for the camp rental business. He was fortunate to meet his wife Christie during summer 2002 while working as counselors in the Resident Camp and are raising their two children Finnegan and Nora at Camp.
Garran is active in the community as a member of the Cape Cod Young Professionals, is on the Accreditation Committee for US Sailing, has served on the Board of Directors and helped create Sail Cape Cod which is an adaptive community sailing program, and enjoys connecting in community networking events. During free time, Garran enjoys many hobbies including sailing, powerboating, camping, home improvement projects and genealogy research. His passion is sailboat racing and he has gained notoriety on his boat the “KNOTTY DOG” in several local races including Figawi and Hurricane Cup with second place finishes. He’s got the red hats to prove it!

Rick “Otis” Moyer
Rick Moyer is currently in his 43rd camping season with the Cape Cod Sea Camps. Rick is retired from the Wayland Public school system where he was the Athletic Director for many years. Rick received a masters in Education from Springfield College.

Andrew “Crash” Sims
Andrew started at Cape Cod Sea Camps as a camper in the resident program and has expanded his role and responsibilities over the last 29 years. He attended Rice University, and the University of Minnesota before working at Cape Cod Sea Camps full time. He has organized an after school program in Dallas, TX and is involved in the American Camp Association as an ACA Standards Visitor visiting camps throughout New England promoting the accreditation program. He met his wife Christin while both were working at CCSC.

Christina Quirk Peterson
Monomoy Day Camp Asst. Director
Christina is a “lifer” here at Cape Cod Sea Camps. She started as a camper at the age of 5 and has not missed a summer since. Through her time here at CCSC she has been a unit counselor, head counselor, program specialist, group rental manager, assistant director and now program director. Christina has grown up at Cape Cod Sea Camps and loves everything about the CCSC experience. Christina completed her BA in Psychology and Pediatric Therapy Interventions at Stonehill College. Christina prides herself on developing meaningful relationships with everyone who comes to CCSC.
Chris is also a “lifer” and the great grandson to Robert J. Delahanty, founder of Cape Cod Sea Camps. Chris has been through almost every position available here at CCSC, commonly referring himself as a Jack-of-all-trades. Currently, Chris directs the Day Camp Leadership Training Program and also programs the staff orientation. While not at camp Chris is an avid fly fisherman and a high school ice hockey coach. Chris is very proud of what his family has built here at Cape Cod Sea Camps and continues to build each summer season.
Chris and Christina met here at Cape Cod Sea Camps and have three children that are campers in the Day Camp program. They are both very excited to share great life experiences that CCSC offered to them with their children for many years to come.
