Our Arts Activities

The creative arts activities at Cape Cod Sea Camps are our 2nd most popular activities, after Sailing. In 2006, a new Arts Center was completed to accommodate the increased popularity of our Summer Art Program as well as to offer new creative activities.

Art is our second most popular activity after sailing. Art offerings change weekly and among the activities offered are copper enameling, batik, ceramics, candle making, sketching, painting, beadwork, weaving, macrame, basket work, tie dying and many more. Our pottery program boasts six wheels and two kilns. In addition to a strong art program, we also offer  a large and exciting woodworking program as well as digital photography using Photoshop in the photo lab.

Our performing arts program is a great way for campers to build confidence in a very supportive camp community. The CCSC drama program provides daily instruction with productions presented to the camp community on Saturday nights. Offerings include improvisation, musical theater and tech crew. There is a camper talent show during the second session as well as a staff talent show.

The final resident camp show is staged during the last week of camp; any camper wishing to participate is encouraged to do so. Past final show performances have included The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins and Aladdin. Each Friday before the Spirit Assembly at the Monomoy Day Camp, our Lower Camp (6-8), Middle Camp (9-10), and Upper Camp (11-13) put on dramatic performances. Family and friends are invited to attend these productions.

This was one of my child's second year and another was his first year. They both loved this awesome camp! I highly recommend this camp to children of all ages! It truly was their best summer ever!
