Resident Camp Activity Department Heads |
|

Each major camp activity has an adult, generally a teacher or graduate student, who directly supervises the activity, both the campers participating and the counselors assigned as instructors. They run teaching clinics during our staff orientation week as well as ongoing instruction throughout the summer and keep records of campers' progress and awards earned. Housing is separate from campers.
Salary range: $3400.-$4200. Age: 21+

There are 5 boys and 5 girls units or age groups. The average unit has 36 campers and 8 counselors. The 10 Head Counselors live with and have direct supervision of their group including, but not limited to, creating an atmosphere where children and counselors feel safe, valued as members of the camp family, learn and have fun; camper scheduling; communication with parents; setting basic behavioral parameters and discipline; staff evaluation.
Salary range: $3200.-$4000. Age: 21+

Resident Camp Counselors |

Approximately 86 college men and women are hired to live in cabins with the campers and instruct in one or more of the camp activities. We are looking for positive, fun loving people who are committed to making camp a special experience for children. Energetic, enthusiastic, honest individuals who can follow simple, clear rules and expectations. We are seeking people who are willing and able to serve as good role models for children as well as being able to put the needs of the campers first on their list of priorities.
Salary range: $2200.-$3500. Age: 19 or have finished 1st year of college

Sailing Specialists |

We hire 4 sailing specialists to join our Sail Master and Assistant Sail Master in providing a safe, educational and fun sailing environment. Level 1 Sailing certification is required (we do offer the course prior to camp) as well as CPR, First Aid and either Small Craft Safety or ARC Lifeguard Training. Cape Cod Mercuries, 420's and Sunfish are used in our program. We sail on the salt water of Cape Cod Bay and the fresh water of Long Pond. Sail specialists should be able to make basic boat repairs and drive a Boston Whaler, have good communication skills and the ability to oversee multiple boats.
